Sunday Updates

Noted this past week that my battery was draining. Realized it was time to install the battery cut off switch that I had purchased for my previous trailer but never got around to installing and get it on my new trailer. While I was in doing electrical I added a 12 volt recepticle in the tool storage area and had noted that I didn't have a light in this compartment. Decided to purchase a light and install it as well. Wife was wondering what was taking me so long. 2 hrs later I was done and mission accomplished.
Fortunetly my battery box cover was high enough that I was able to mount my battery switch from within, with the turnkey protruding out top.

A photo of your work would really help others visualize your accomplishment.

Pics of Mods

Here's pic of my three mods thus far. The first is the battery cut off switch that I mounted from within the battery box.

The last two are of the light I installed after realizing that this particular storage bay had no light. Hey, I was already knee deep running electrical so what the hey?

I mounted the light on the inside wall above the door that swings up on front storage bay, 5th wheel.

Does your dc distribution box not have a cutoff switch?

Gee, never thought to check... Honestly, I haven't opened it yet. Just got the trailer over Labor Day weekend. Guess I need to add it to my list of things to do.

You would not want to leave your disconnect off while driving if it disables the breakaway switch.

I have the same problem, battery dead when I get it out of storage. If I don't find the cutoff switch, I'll do what you did. Thanks for the pics!
