Sunscreen

We will be spending several months this winter in Florida. Would like to purchase a sunscreen similar to the one CW sells but don't want to pay that price. Suggestions?

I've read that people make them out of ground cloth. Haven't done it nor have I seen one in person.

Where will you be in FL? We had ours custom made @ Beasley in Center Hill, FL. VERY reasonable and a super nice man. Had them made for both ends and the awning itself for less than $200.

We will be in Nokomis FL which is south of Sarasota, north of Venice. What material are your sunscreens made of, OC?

It's a heavy plastic woven screen. Like screen wire but much heavier. They are hemmed and have grommets in them to hook bungee cords to the ground. If you are going to hang a sunscreen to a power awning, you definitely will have to have a set of awning poles as the power awning arms that can be tightened are too flimsy to hold the extra weight of the sunscreen. Just so happens I have an extra set of poles.
