Just completed the setup...
The tools that you will need are as follows :
Electrical tape
Snips (Scissors)
Soldering Iron
Dremel Tool with cutting attachment.
What was purchased for the project:
All of the above were purchased from Amazon.com
You will need the following connector from the old setup:
I used the dremel tool to widen the "groove" to accommodate the RF controller, and the lights are about another 16th of a inch wider...so they don't fit down into the "groove" but the 3m tape seems to be holding them fine...
use the connector from the old setup and solder it to the 9v to barrel connector...after snipping off the 9v side of the setup... and just hide that inside the hole from the awning...
reconnect the connector that you pulled from the old setup, and plug the barrel connector into the RF controller, tape-up the lights into the groove and your done..
It took me about 45 minutes...
