Taking the yaks camping, a solution...

All Yakima. I've always had Yakima racks and never had a problem, we'll see how these hold up. A little rough getting the boats up there but that's what the gym is for...right?

PS...Etrailer is the best as usual.

ID:	88951 My kayak solution! Thule aeroblade roof rack with the big stacker. My 2 teenage sons walk the kayaks up the bed of the truck and put them on the roof rack. Me (the mom) gets the easier job of being on the ladder and strapping them down.

We did this for awhile with our old trailer but decided to move up to a XLR and I built the rack to hold all 4 kayaks. Click image for larger version

Wonder if I could fit 2 tandem kayaks on a roof rack on the F250 while towing the 5th wheel. Seems unlikely which is why I'm considering getting the nicer inflatable tandem kayaks

You should be able too but it would depend on the kayaks size and the cradles you use. We used to do our tandem that way. Click image for larger version

Was wondering if anyone has investigated a fifth-wheel roof-mount for kayaks ?
Plenty of space up there, and could be back from the high-point of the roof, thus not adding much, if any, to the overall height.
Obviously mounting would be the primary concern.

And lifting them up to the top would be a job.
