Painter's pole from my Weather Station

I had the same idea to use an extendable painter's pole (from Menards). I use it for my weather station. It mounts to the back brace on the spare tire mount using two "U-Bolts". The weather station is bolted to a short wooden extension that unscrews from the pole and rides in the camper. When we stop to camp, I just screw it on the top, extend the pole up above the camper, and face it to the north. I can install it while standing on the ground. No ladder necessary.

Couple of pics included.
