That’s the only bad thing I hate about crossing the border into Canada is you can only cross with 2 bottles of wine

A distant member of our extended family owns a premier wine shop in St. Louis.

In the past when we buy a case from him he will not sell it to us during the summer unless we swear not to stop on our way back to Dayton ohio. The wine must be in the ac of the car.

He claims a bottle can be ruined in a car in a few hours!

We specifically opted for a large 13 cu ft rv fridge to allow space to carry the DW’s vino safely.

We tend to buy six bottles at a time in major cities while traveling.

We have a Canadian friend. Her fiancé is my best friend from first grade. He claims the Canadian price for wine is heavily taxed up there. More than 50% more expensive. She likes spending the winter in the states. Due to medical care issues they live 6 months in each country. If they marry and live in one country one of them looses health coverage.

My wife was once told: "Mom, 3 boxes of wine in the fridge does not mean you have a wine cellar".

Any suggestions for a good Merlot in a box ? The bottles are cumbersome and don't hold enough... Berringers is a favorite

That's MY fav; good 'ol Cardboardeaux!

Try the Franzia Chillable Red on the rocks, sometime, tastes like punch on a hot summer day.

Indeed. I wish I could drink a glass every night, but then I would really have to take more mods.

I image the space that a microwave would fit in would give ample room to build one, if you are so inclined. You may want to search Amazon, Wayfair, maybe even Bed Bath and beyond. I did look at some a few years ago already built one's, but none fit what I wanted.

I noticed you have boxes.I was looking for a rack for bottles.

I don't believe Berringers makes boxed wines. Almaden makes a decent Merlot in a box. I also picked up something called "Sipper" in a boxed Merlot that was a cheapie.

White Zin is DW's favorite too and Almaden, Vella, Franzia and Carlo Rossi all make white zin in a box. (That's how I know!)

I like your priorities 😊 we don’t have a wine rack in our motorhome but we do throw a couple of good reds in a drawer! Last trip we made was to Lodi and Paso Robles CA, and bought a couple great bottles along the way!

Just got back from Paso. Joined another wine club while we were there. We travel with the wine in a cooler in the truck so it doesn't get warm or jostled around.

One of the wineries that we belong to has a campground area behind their winery. They rent it out through Hipcamp. It is on our list of places to go to.https://www.hipcamp.com/california/p...ch-winery-camp

I see you guys are in Reno. You go to any of the gold country wineries? We have one of our houses in South Lake Tahoe which is where we are right now.

solved that problem, installed a wine fridge in one of our bays. added a 100w inverter so they stay cold while traveling. 12 bottle unit. works quite well.

What winery did you join? We joined Tobin James (again) after a couple years hiatus. Ended up with a case of reds to take home!

We joined Red Soles. We visited 4 wineries with wines that weren't the standard Zinfandel, Cabs or Pinots.

We were supposed to go to the Tobin James Zin fest a month ago and were going to camp while there at one of the RV parks there. Unfortunately, had to cancel due to an illness in our family.

Wine rack

Pretty simple to build. If you want to email me at lightsmart@tds.net I can send you some pictures. It is best if you own a drill press and a table saw. You can either build it into the cabinet or build it into a box you slide into a cabinet or set on a counter someplace.
