I like the idea of the chains to limit the opening of the doors! Thanks for that one!

Thought I would post another one here. The slam latches are pretty easy to bypass, and while I'm not as worried about protecting what is in there, I did have a problem where I could darn near open a basement door because of the gap between the door and the latch catch. Simple solution, put an o-ring underneath (both seals and rises the catch). Problem solved. Not sure if anyone else will have this issue, but it cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of $.50/latch).

My mistake.....I was stating what I do for travel, to keep them from opening

Forgot to mention one more thing that is one my list tomorrow. Going to check all of the AC duct work to make sure that it is sealed up tight. Ran into this on my last camper and although I now have dual AC units, I want it to be running as efficient as possible for those times where we might be in 30 amp parks.

Here is what I am going to do....did this on my last one and it made a heck of a difference.

Group 24 battery box for sewer fittings ($17@ Cabelas). Held on by 2 of the heavy duty zip ties and gonna back existing screw out and run it thru bottom of box.

Had to call it a day, but got the following done:

Bathroom door lock for sliding door.

Chains to prevent bunkhouse cupboard doors from opening to far (used a lightweight chain that will break before screws are pulled out just in case someone yanks on it too hard.)

And last but not least, got the memory foam on the master bedroom mattress. Went with 3" thick.

Let me know if the memory foam makes a big difference or not we were kind of thinking doing that as well.

It makes a huge difference! In fact, I almost prefer our camper bed to all others.

In fact, we even chose the "upgraded bed" option.

yep, used the memory foam on our last mattress as well. Makes a huge difference and the DW was highly opposed to memory foam to begin with. After a couple of nights she was hooked.

Wife vetoed the mattress upgrade and opted to stay with the memory foam topper she bought for the last camper. She also chose the queen size over the king upgrade. Both of her choices make me happy, happy, happy!!!

We use 3" memory foam also even with the upgraded matress. Makes for a great night sleep!

Added a quad receptacle in the utility side of the basement. I relocated the central vac cord to it, in case we want to use the portable dvd player outside, we can plug it in at the TV. I also use the quad to plug the cable TV amplifier, cordless drill charger, and the HDMI splitter into. It allows us to watch the same movie inside and outside. I had to use a 6' HDMI cable to the outside TV and a 12' one to the inside TV. The original cable from the stereo was able to be routed thru the sub compartment and down to the splitter. I poked the HDMI cable to the outside TV thru the rubber grommet where the central vac was originally poked thru. I'm fastly running out of things to do that don't require removal of the underbelly!

Nice!! I was thinking of the same mod!! It drives me nutz that the plug for the vac is just hanging out there!! lol

Any mods for the utility conduits in the bunkhouse that are exposed between the rubber dam and OK? Also I think someone has addressed the quick connect hose from the OK stove to the connection..I don't like it just hanging there

Just added a hole and grommet in the skirting at the outdoor stove, to pass the gas hose thru. For some reason, that seemed better than routing it under the skirting or around the side. I'm considering adding a 90* elbow ahead of the quick connect fitting on the stove, to make it point toward the front of the camper and eliminate the need to put a U-bend in the gas hose. Added a towel bar under the kitchen sink on the cabinet door, and added a towel bar, pop a plate and pop a towel to the outside kitchen. If doing the add a towel on the door like I did, make sure to place it where it'll miss the cabinet when closed. I'd already done the pop a plate and pop a towel in the inside kitchen, just wasn't sure if I'd already posted them, so threw in a pic of them. I also took a look at the bunkhouse mirrored doors hitting the slide out trim....not sure it's an issue for us, but will probably address it to be proactive, as some of the rest of you have.

Just finished adding the half bath AC vent and sealing all the other ones. I posted step by step pics to demonstrate the sealing. The second to last pic shows how I blocked off the continuing duct work after the rearmost bunkhouse vents. I also added a towel bar in the half bath vanity for the kids' wash cloths.
