Thermostat upgrade help

Shop Honeywell 5-2 Day Programmable Thermostat at Lowes.com

Have been reading a lot! Will this thermostat work with a Coleman/Mach setup? It says 24 volts but mine is 12 of course.
1. Will the overhead A/C fan run when set to "On" when the Furnace is running separately? Nobody seems to actually say this in their mod blogs on any site that I've read. We like the noise of the fan running even when its cold and the furnace is on.
2. I can't find out if this is a 1 degree or 2 degree thermostat either

3. Any other product or setup opinions?

Thanks for any info

yes it will work on your system it's - or plus 1 degree. You will only have 1 speed for you over head blower and A/C not 2 like the Coleman. You would need to add a spst switch to change speeds or just use one. It will not affect your heater blower that is a set CFM that comes on automatically. You will all so need 2 or 3 AAA batteries to save the program and to back light it. Mark your wires as you disconnect them. If it did not come with a jumper you will need to connect the RH/RC together with a piece of wire.

So I SHOULD be able to run the A/C fan even when the Furnace is on?
As of right now, the A/C fan will NOT run when the System switch is in the "Heat" position.

It should come on, will it come on with the furnace in the off position, I don't know how your sub base is wired. You do have the jumper in? I'll see if I can find a wiring diagram somewhere. Okay you have it set to heat and not heat pump, the G terminal should be your fan or blower. I checked questions one person said that model will not work with a 12 volt system I don't know why it wouldn't. The two fan wires that come from the ac try the other one. Also try to take the jumper out and use the hot wire to RC for the a/c and R for the heater.

It's factory new. 2015 Flagstaff. 1 month old.
Mine has the Cool, Fan, Off, and Heat selections. AC fan will ONLY run in Cool and Fan modes. BUT, the only time the Low and High works is when it's in the "Cool" position. Low and high doesn't even work when in the "Fan" position.

Take off the cover and use a wire and touch R to g and see if the fan starts, then check RC to green and see if it starts. I'll wait

Thermostat upgrade help

But red to green makes fan come on high. To grey makes low fan come on.
It does this with the furnace going also.

Refresh my above reply and see if yours does same (with furnace on). Mine does not. Even when I put fan to "On" high or low.

You installed the new stat and wired it in and you say that the fan will not come on when you put the switch to on with the new subase?

I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough.
I have not bought any new thermostat yet. I was wondering if the Honeywell would do what I wanted it to do. The thermostat that came in my camper is really ridiculous. Temperature swings badly and the Air Conditioner Fan will not run while the Furnace is on. I just want to make sure the fan will work with the digital thermostat before I purchase it or do I need to get another model. The 12 volt vs 24 volt concerns me also.

No mine will not, you would have add a toggle switch and run a wire from red to gray to supply voltage to the fan wire to run them both. See if you jumper out the red to gray and see if it will bring on the fan. If it does then the only way is to add a jumper to a SPST switch. The subase will not switch it for you. Coleman sells a digetal stat. Thats the only way That I know you can make it work, you have to supply power to the fan wire either by the subase or a jumper switch. to do what you want. Call coleman they may have one that you want it to do.

So mines not broke, they just don't work like they should lol.
Now I wonder if the Honeywell or Hunter thermostats etc will turn AC fan on while the furnace is running. Heck the little Dometic stat even done that.
