Herk- I checked out the antennaweb site and was wondering if anyone knows of an Android App that would do something similar?

I was thinking it would be great to be able to find local stations once we arrive at a campsite. I did a quick search for Apps but nothing came up.

Thanks

I have an iPhone/iPad app called "TV TOWERS" that does the same thing.

TV Towers USA is a great app. Even includes a compass to help in location.

Lots of great mod ideas, thanks for the great discussion... but, for discussions sake, let me take the question a step further.... knowing what you know now about how you enjoy the mods you have done, but assuming you had a new rig with none of those mods and you only had $250 to spend on mods, what would you spend it on?

1. If your trailer did not come with a black tank flush, then that would be a top priority for me. It makes a world of difference.

2. Roof Vent Covers.

3. Battery Disconnect Switch

That would be my top three to make your camping experience more enjoyable.

Have a great time camping and let us all know what mod. you decide on.

IMHO, no one here can say that.
It totally depends on how and where you intend to camp.

If you plan on full hookups all the time, your needs would be one way.
If you camped mostly in state parks with no hookups; my top priorites would make no sense at all to the weekend camper who is in a KOA.

Some mods like a battery disconect and a water pressure regulator are a couple of bucks and a good idea regardless. If you have 30 days to "spend" that gift certificate from the dealer; there are lots of good ideas already presented. Other than that ...

Go camping. You will figure it out pretty fast.

Thanks. I already have the Blue Sea battery disconnect switch on its way. I am still debating on a Barker VIP 3500 ($214 shipped to door from PPL right now), trying to weigh that 'mod' vs maybe doing a few small mods that may offer more comfort (when they are all added up).

We are definately thinking about the curved shower bar/curtain and the oxygenics shower head from the list thats been generated so far. To avoid getting too carried away though, I put a cap of about $250 on myself for mods/accessories this camping season.

herk has a great point in that it is hard for us to recommend mod. since everyone is different.

On that note: I own the Barker VIP 3500 jack and love it!!! When I purchased our new TT I took it off and put the original hand jack back on it. So keep your original jack in case you decide to upgrade or whatever.

As others have said, go camping and see out of your experience what you may need or want.

Thanks. Not intending necessarily for direct recommendations, but just curious what mods in general people value over other mods in generating ideas for myself.

You will get great advice, tips, and suggestions on these forums. Some of the greatest people on here. They love camping and helping others to do the same.

Welcome and enjoy this 2012 camping season, from another midwesterner.
