If I did not have kids, not sure if I would have it or not, but with kids, it saves the screen material.
Thats what I figured it might be for...

I don't have any kids, but we have several camping trips planned with friends that have kids. I'm finding myself becoming interested in kid/drunk adult proofing things...

You all are hilarious. It is a nice addition and the bar itself is good quality and it looks nice too. Not like the curved metal screen guards that you see from the 70's and that they still make today.

We got tired of always having to slide the plastic piece back on the screendoor to reach the metal door handle on the outside door, in order to shut the door. The older I get, the lazier I get...

Ditto. We use ours all the time too.
I totally forgot to mention it because it was an early mod and I forgot it did not come with it. I also did the screen door spring kit at the same time so the screen door closes and latches automatically.
(Keeps the bugs out)

Someday I hope to see one of those screen door cross bar in person to see how it actually works and if it would be worth it to me.

Just a couple:

1) Took some spray foam insulation and filled in cracks on the underbelly. I dropped underbelly on previous 5er and learned it can get dirty.

2) Took cover off of refrig. on the outside and covered the back side with screen to keep bugs out - especially dirtdobbers.

Here dug them out. Notice the clip. They hang on the flap of awning and a snap to remove for quick takedown of awning
