Towel Bar Mounting

I'm in the process of mounting a bath towel bar in my 2013 Solaire 201SS. The bar will be mounted in the bathroom on the rear wall. The other side of the wall is the exterior wall of the TT made of fiberglass. The exterior walls appear to be about 1 1/2 inches in width. I would hate to run a screw through the exterior fiberglass so I'm thinking about an adhesive that I can glue the metal towel bar mounts on to the wall. I have a product by the name of "Soudal CL" which is a silicone adhesive that I'm thinking about trying out. Has anybody used this product or another adhesive product that has worked well in this application? I'm also not apposed to running a screw in the wall, but if I do not have to all the better.

I used a product from Lowes. It's a screw with a plastic piece that butterflies behind the wall. Used them for a towel bar and TP holder, worked fine. They are a little tricky though because the screw has to go in straight. Check out the hardware section, probably a few different styles available. I don't think adhesive is the way to go imo.

I mounted a towel bar in my kitchen on the exterior wall. On my trailer this is a laminated wall system filled with Styrofoam. I used those plastic anchors where you must drill a hole in the wall and push the anchors in. My insulation is 1 1/2 inches and my anchors were 3/4 in deep and needed a 3/8th hole. I measured 3/4 in on my drill bit and marked it with a piece of tape.

It all worked great. Just be careful not to go too deep.

Mounted a Moen towel bar and TP holder using these anchors that were supplied. No issues.
