Happy Easter !
Looking for different ways to lift the electric bed in the garage, of our work& play. I've noticed it will lift by hand, about 3-4" beyond where it stops with the motor. I need 2-3" of extra height,to clear the roll cage in our utv.
I'm not beyond just a sleeve, and washers. But thought it best to ask around first.
I will be attempting to load it next wknd ,for the first time, to take it to the tadpole rally.
Always open to good ideas!!
lol ya we all have those moment but that's part of what forums are good for!! prob gain 4" doing it and I have a wolf pack with an electric bed like that one. I haul a sand rail with a light bar on top. it barely cleared so I raised it.
also check the tiny worthless spot welds on those bed brackets to make sure they are still attached!
Thank you dsrace !
I will, you can see in the before pic,the angle on the right rear. It is not well put together. The under side of the bed is just covered with Thin black fabric. I'm thinking of covering it with thin diamond plate. The utv will most likely bounce, aluminum would be much tougher. Or at least som FRP.
Just watch flipping the brackets. I just got our TH and the bed was in the position you want to move to. The cross bar hit the cubby and the bed could not be pinned. Also the motor was tight against the mattress.

Yes I have a similar situation,at the motor housing. I'll have to be careful to stop, before it hits.
my motor sticks out away from the bed over the cabinet so I don't have that issue. how much head room do you have to sit up in that top bunk? I would hate to hit my head or kick that motor lol

no problem and yes those are very poorly made beds and really heavy! it is just my wife and I so no one has ever slept in out but I crawled up there on and I weigh 200 lbs....wasn't sure if I was going to go threw it but if flexed pretty good!! lol i'd say they should have a 150 lb limit sticker on them. i'm going to just take mine out this year and use the brackets to mount the couch's too.
