I think you should give this some thought. what is going to happen to the tongue weight when you hook to the back of the trailer are you going to have something that is moveable to support the front of the trailer?

You'd be better off with something like this.

X2 I wonder if anyone rents these? I think putting a hitch on the rear would require a lot of fabricating and welding. My big concern is twisting or damaging the frame on such a big trailer.

A good welder may be able to put up a structure capable supporting the trailer being towed backward far enough to allow for the truck to hitch up to the front. The BIG question is....how do you get big enough wheels under the front hitch to support the trailer while it's been moved. Wondering if the front jack would even support the torque of being pulled backwards.

Ignoring the potential damage caused by the unsupported tongue, you'll need to do some basic calculations. If your current front tongue weight is 1,200 pounds and the centerline of your axles is 2/3 the distance from the tongue, then the new rear tongue will have a negative weight of 2,400 pounds. At 3/4 the distance it will be negative 3,600 pounds. At what point will you lift the tow vehicle wheels off the ground?

But the WDH was set right....Look at all the weight returned to the front axle! No rear sag on this tow vehicle! [emoji3]

X3 on looking at the Trailer Valet XL. I don't own one, but it sure looks like a good solution to this problem. Same thing would work for us when parking at the Daughter's house. It's a bitch to back into their driveway and if I nose the truck in, I can't get it back out to use the truck while there. The ability to add the cordless drill as a drive motor is what interested me along with the lower price than the other units I've seen.

some places have a tractor that they use to move trailers around with. it would be worth asking if they can help you out. I have seen others move their neighbors rigs with a side by side too
