TV mounting

i have a 2018 wildwood xlite model 254RLXL which did not come with a tv. I want to mount a tv where indicated but not sure exactly where the backer is located or what it is made of and don’t want to just start drilling holes. Also is there a preferred tv mount to use. Any help would be grateful

Use a stud finder to locate a mount point. If you can, locate where you can run through bolts. Pretty much any mount will work once you find a hard point. Surveyors, and I guess a number of other FR lines, use the KeBloc system from L&W Engineering.

When I added the TV in my kitchen area the panel was so thin I just pressed against with my fingers and found the mounting stud. I got a swing arm mount and added a strap to keep it from moving'

Rdman, it may have a metal plate behind the mounting location sticker. I used a magnet to find the edges of the plate when I mounted mine.

I honestly didn't trust any mount point on our RV. What I ended up doing is buying a SWING ARM TV Mount LIKE THIS and mounting it to the Top Storage Cabinets. Its a stronger wood there anyway. But then again, we have a small TV probably like a 24"

Thanks for the idea. I know the backer behind the wall cannot be much so I was looking for good ideas

I have a 287BHDS and had the same question about the backer in the bedroom in front.. I went onto Coachman web site and sent a request about the backer and got the following drawing in a PDF file.

I didn't like where it was located so I found a mount which would work. Then I added the lift on/off mounts from Paw International so that I could lift off and remove the TV when traveling or mount it outside.

I'm sure if you contact the manufacturer, they can get you the detail without just knocking on the wall and guessing.
