Tyron wheel safety bands

Does anyone in the forum have experience with the Tyron wheel safety bands? The motivation for asking is not only for finding some practical feedback but also the fact that we purchased the product as a dealer installed add-on when we bought out Sierra 5th from the now bankrupt McMahon RV in souther California back in January of this year.

We are now on a cross country trip and had a tire blowout prior to parking for the night. Upon inspection, there are no bands installed on the busted tire and we suspect not installed on any of the other ones.
Bands are available at the next Camping World in OK City, but it would come out of our own pocket. Again! Potential cost is $400/wheel.
Anyone have a resource that might be cheaper, or is this an impractical expense?
