U-Shaped Dinette Storage Mod

I am always trying to find more space and better use of existing/wasted space. I searched if anyone had done something similar, couldn't find any. I used the old panel to 're-side' the openings on the left and right. Found self stick flooring that matched at Lowes. This is my solution. ...the baskets don't come all the way out with the table up, but enough that you can get anything out of them. Especially handy for my 2 & 4 year old's toys.

Great post and great job! Very clever and the boys toys probably don't weigh enough to impact the slider (if your dinette is in a slide). Happy Camping!

That looks AWESOME! What wood did you use for the new trim pieces? Looks like it matches pretty well!

I used Poplar and Minwax Espresso Stain, matches almost identical.

Looks nice.

I would like to add storage to mine like that, but that area of the dinette is where my furnace is ..

Great job. It's amazing how many of those little hidden spots exist. We have the standard booth thing. DH removed the huge base woofer that was under ours and it leaves enough space for a case of pop and 12 water bottles. Much more useful to us old farts.
