Under RV storage

Anyone use one of these? I like the idea but not the price. Maybe someone (OC?) has a DIY version.

Wow those are pretty cool Tom...and I agree OUCH, they are pricey!

What I thought was a HOOT was the review--the guy that bought them is only using them to store his sewer stuff??!! LOL - $500+ is a lot to pay for that! The 5x5 fencepost sewer storage mod only costs @ $40

My fifth wheel came stock with these from the manufacturer. I like them. I use one for all my hoses and the other one for all my sewer stuff. The only thing that I don't like about them is the placement on my Sierra 355QBQ. they are near the front of our camper and hinder the use of stabilzer bars.

Yeah, I saw that too. I was looking to use it to hold my Lynx blocks, x-chocks, etc. Things I use to set up camp with. It would be easier than having to go to the front storage compartment. It would also free up room for other things in there.

I wanted these, but dealer said "they" were getting away from them, because they leak.

We ordered them with our sierra 365saq and of course the will leak. They are just a plastic tub with a flip up lid. We store all of our "dirty" stuff in them. I added a peice of plywood to the bottom of each one. We have one on each side. Because they were sagging in the middle, even though I don't have the 100lbs max they say. They are super handy. I want to order another set a put them under somewhere else.

Thank you and there is another one on the other side. They use the same mount and just slide out both sides.

Yep, mine look just like Ehorn's. Had them on both my 355QBQ and 365SAQ. They do leak, but everything stays dry if you drill a couple of holes in each channel in the low spots. Only once had anything get wet. After drilling the holes, have not even found any mildew.

I really want one if these now. Someone more clever than me needs to figure out how to make one as a DIY mod.

I am working on it as we speak. Gonna take awhile as don't have much time to work in it. But a length of C channel and a little custom light gauge steel bending and we should be in business.

I thought a lot about these last year. They sold the box and lid for $95. Thought about buying 2 Nd fab something instead installed 2 damaged 5x5 fence post and a 5' conduit box. They work great.

What is a conduit box and where did you get it?

It is a light weight diamond plate box similar to a pickup tool box normally 10 made of 2-5' sections. People normally put them on ladder racks to carry emt conduit or cooper pipe. 1 found 2 on craigslist for 35 and 50 so I have 4- 5' sections. I used same brackets for box as I did 5x5 PVC fence post.
