We have a Cadet SC 226RBDS and love the layout however the dinette only seating area for watching TV had to go. This is a redesign of the first sofa I made.
This is the way the unit came from the factory. It was functional but not too comfortable.
The dinette was removed and I made this custom sofa for the area.
The new sofa has 2 large draws for storage.
The narrow bottom center draw contains the base unit for the Sequoia table leg system. Hasps in the back fold out to lock the unit in place and rubber door stops are wedged under the front sides to make the unit rock solid.
The center top draw stores the table top and legs.
When needed a great dining area is created. We also have 4 folding bar stools under the bed and can be used to seat 4 to 6 around the table if needed.
A cavity behind the sofa was created to contain the 3 additional 25 X 25 cushions needed to make the bed.
The back cushions are placed in the cavity when the bed is made and the 25 X 25 cushions are used to make the bed.
The base unit took a while to build but the results were worth it.
Now on to the next project.
Started Out With Nothing,
Still Have Most Of It Left!
