Upgrade for the ZX700

Is there an upgrade sold out there for the ZX700? Just bought a 2011 Flagstaff 829BHSS and to my surprise its not HD! Kind of a waste to have HD tv's in the camper and having the DVD hooked up with RCA jacks. I know the ZX700 does not have HDMI so I'm hoping they have an upgrade out there.

Not absolutely sure, but the connections don't make it High Definition. The only High Definition DVD players out there are labeled "Blue-Ray". Any other DVD player, regardless of connections is not High Definition. Also your movies, or DVD's would have to be "Blue-Ray" also. That would be true high definition.

I understand that, but they do have DVD players out there that up convert regular DVD's to HD quality picture. I just don't understand why they put HD tv's in a camper if you can't get good quality picture on it. I played a DVD for the first time in it and the picture was really bad, really blurry. Even had some lines in it.

Dvd up converting? I've never heard of such a thing.

I have the same unit you have and the picture is great.
While playing dvds.

You have an hd tv for over the air hd programing
as well as for hd park cable and hd satellite.

I don't see how its a waste.

I know it's really not a waste but just seems they should be putting blue-rays in campers now they are really cheap now. Thanks for your responses though. They do have dvd player out there now that can play dvd's at close to HD quality.

Ha! I was at home. I just bought this camper and was testing everything out. Believe me when I'm camping I spend most of my time by the fire. This is my first camper. We used to tent it.

The Genesis GT 3.0 / Concertone ZX800 I believe has an HDMI port but it is not cheap.

Concertoneģ Online Store

Just remember the Concertone units are really the only game if you want 5.1 audio with a sub in a 12v RV unit. The Jensen units are stereo with no sub out if you are thinking of going that way. There are some Car audio systems that people use not sure which ones though.
