Upgraded my outside speakers this weekend

I got tired of the mediocre sound of my factory "E-Tech" speakers so I ordered a pair of Jensen MSX60RV 6.5 inch waterproof marine grade speaker from Jensen Direct. They are UV and salt spray standard compliant and have a 75 watt max power handling rating. My old speakers were smaller and the new speakers required that I enlarge the opening to 5 inches. This was easily accomplished with a jigsaw and some tin snips. I also added an old Technics audio receiver that I had in storage and I placed it in the top cabinet of my outside kitchen where it connects to my satellite receiver. Overall I am very pleased with sound improvement and would highly recommend this upgrade.

Sounds like a good idea. (pun intended)
What size were your old speakers?

Thanks guys, I'll let you know how they work out. My old speakers were 4 inch "E-tech" speakers which left a whole lot to be desired. The Jensens sound great!
