Water heater indicator lamp

I placed an indicator lamp on the front of the sink, using a Radio Shack sku# 272-710 and an old cord from a computer. I drilled a 5/8 hole, ran the cord with the male plug from the the switched outlet, for the water heater, to under the sink. Soldered the lamp to the cord and mounted the lamp. I turn the heater switch outside to on and use the breaker in the converter to turn the water heater on. So when the breaker is on the Neon Lamp is on. Not sure how to upload photos to the forum , but here is a link to them.

This is the Neon lamp I used from Radio Shack and old computer cord, which I plugged into the water heater outlet.
