I don't put anything in my tanks except liquid Calgon and laundry soap.
Then once a year treatment with RV-Digest-It before I put it way.

Three years old now and have dry and hookup camped 209 days to date.
No smell, ever.

looking to "soften" the hard water for showers, dishes... we fill the FW tank with soft water before we leave and would like to have soft water when we refill.
I use the Calgon and soap in the tanks and it works great - no smells ever(?) LOL

Well, not from the holding tanks. Fabreeze Air Freshener works wonders for the "prior to the holding tank" stuff.
