DH loved our camper just the way it was, until I said I want to put a shelf in the over head cabinet. I am always thinking and looking at what would make it better or more functional or just plain easier for us to use it. I still have a laundry list of mods I want to do, some I'm not sure will add value even for us.
1. Cyclone sewer vent
2. Camco roof vent covers
3. Add kitchen drawer instead of tilt door
4. Put electric fireplace/space heater inside cabinet under tv. Still undecided about this one.
5.......

I do that as well! The Mail carrier deserves a big tip. Got the new TT how I want it (well ok, just for this phase because my husband says I've used my driveway time and it has to go into storage) but now I'm starting to obsess about what we need to do to make it impervious to water, sun, bugs and critters in a storage lot. I'm concerned that the 5 mile drive to the storage lot will cut down on my mod time. I'm definitely making plans to visit it.

There is a thread "What did you do to your camper today?" which contains post from future confessed Modaholics, just most of them are currently in denial. Membership will be growing.......

So that's my problem! I am a retired mechanical and electrical engineer and I just can't quit modding the A-frame. Hope I get this out of my system before we go broke!

OK question time for you now...
Did you have a shelf in that cabinet?
Do you have a subwoofer in the cabinet also ? If so, how did/do you protect it?
Is it permanently mounted or can you remove it?
What was the degree of difficulty?
You've got me wanting to put my space heater in that cabinet .

I just took the blank faces off several cabinets and actually found space for a 28"X8" shelf and a 18"X10" draw. Modding is good!!

Cabinet did have a shelf, and just moved sub woofer, I bolted my stove down, and as I remade most of the face frame, raised floor, redid inside back and sides, built my doors, I found it more time consuming then hard......I have a wood shop here at home.....

What Is Wrong With Me?!
Y'all have some great mods. I love the extra light switches. One thing I am curious about is the tubing/pipe behind the toilet. I read to put a cutoff valve behind the toilet in case of something. Something could happen, get stuck open and fill up the black tank, I can't remember. Is this a real concern or am I borrowing trouble?
On never mind, I see Herk did the cutoff valve. That's way fancier that what I was thinking of.

My thought was that if the flush valve got stuck open, it might take too long to run outside and shut off the water (especially if I was not particularly dressed for such a sprint). It also makes servicing and washing the Hopper easier without removing water from the whole camper.
Since I needed to repair the flush valve anyway, I installed the shutoff and the wash down sprayer at the same time.
As you can see from my thread, I did NOT use the Thetford flush valve "nipple" for the wash down sprayer because that required me to hold the flush valve open while spraying and reduced the water pressure to the spray head. This caused me to use way more water boondocking than I wanted. By adding a "T" above the main shutoff, I can use full system pressure when cleaning up; then just one flush to dump the bowl.
I added the wand shut off in case the spray head or hose developed a leak. That way we cold still use the Hopper until it could be repaired.
Note that I left the Sharkbite disassembly tool on the first pipe fitting to remove since it is a tight fit between the Hopper and the wall.
