My Cardinal has under step storage. I was surprised to see my Son's Cedar Creek didn't.

Proceded to cure that.



Removed treads,cut,and installed piano hinges.
Added gussets to give more strength.

My Wildcat has storage under the first step. Top is hinged.

Did check my stairs the other weekend. Discovered that carper is a single piece running down over both stairs. Thought perhaps each stair top would be individually covered. Don't want to cut it to pop the tops off stairs (at this time). Figure I've got enough unused storage (at the time).

Looks like the stairs lead to into a wall or they are really narrow going ??

That's what I was thinking too, but then I realized he did say he had steps, but nothing about them leading anywhere...
