We have a laundry basket it the basement under the bathroom lavatory. There was an opening cut for this from the factory that I made a cover for. Open cover drop dirty laundry into basket close cover. When the basket gets full it goes under the tri-fold tonneau cover on the Tundra and the second basket goes under the laundry shoot. When #2 basket is full it too goes in the pickup and it's off to the closest do it your self laundry. The cover also serves as a floor should we want to store something there and it has a slide bolt latch to resist opening from the basement.

I am in the process of making part of a bunk in our bunkhouse a clothes hamper.

The bottom bunk always stays folded up like shown in the picture below. I got to wondering what it looks like under the wooden piece that it normally sits on when down.

I took some screws out and low and behold it is a bunch of unused space:

The stuff that you see on the left is the drawers for the outside kitchen. To the right of them there is a good amount of space not getting used. I have taken thatn 1/8" sheet of board that was covering and split it just about in half. I will screw the left section back on like before and will add a piano hinge to the piece on the right so it can be flipped up. I will also likely add a divider in there just to split the 2 sections up and make sure nothing can work its way over by the drawers and cause problems.

I roto-zipped a hole in the floor of the front bedroom wardrobe (over the storage compartment) and put a door over it. Now its a laundry chute. Found a tall laundry basket that fits in perfectly so the footprint of the basket doesn't use all my space down there. Works great.

I would be careful as the "bin" might have extra stuff next year now that Youroo knows what is in it

Nah, whatcha need is a laundry chute that bypasses the basement and goes straight to the bin under Turb's trailer.

After all the great ideas we decided to go with the storage bin under the camper this past weekend and it worked great. Thanks for all the great ideas. This is why the forum is so great now I know what to do with all my dirty laundry. :-)
