Where to mount second A/C unit?

I have a 2015 * Surveyor Cadet 321BHTS that came with one A/C unit but I was told it is pre-wired for a second A/C unit. The main shore cord is already set up with a 50 amp post connector plug to cover the upgrade.

Question is which "vent" area is where the new unit is supposed to go. There is a vent in the front master bedroom (which is not real far from the existing unit) and the other is in the rear bunk house area.

Help appreciated.

In the front master bedroom
I just put a second a/c on my Columbus.
Hardest part was removing all the dicor and butyl goo from vent and roof.

Second hardest part is getting the a/c on the roof.

Thought you had two AC on this unit to begin with. Saw the install you did on your old 5er. Later RJD

Thanks TURBS.
Was the wiring in place to just "hook it up"?

Yes it was all there.
Are you installing it yourself?

If you take the inner trim panel out
"4 screws" you should see an electrical box there.

Since you have 2 vents, possibly contact the factory to find out which 1 is pre-wired.

My understanding and experience is front master bedroom is where the second ac will go. This has been the case on my 2015 Keystone and now my 2016 Forest River

Also keep in mind the weight of the new front A/C unit will be added to the hitch weight. Just a reminder to check your hitch settings.

John, I've installed two "second" a/c units in the last year.
If you need any advice or have any questions contact me.

There's different options when installing the a/c that you may or may not know.

Easy to do and an afternoon job.

Ron
