Holy moly, you've been busy! Great job; I especially like the engraved signs, did you make those yourself or have a shop do them? I also liked where you put your 12v voltmeter; very professional. I also put reading lights in, great placement on yours. Happy Camping!!

Thanks! I purchased the engraved labels from http://www.legend-plates.com/ and although they come with the tape pre-installed, I used a couple drops of super glue too. I'm actually typing this in my campsite at Ft. Flagler State Park, WA. :-)

Two of these intrigue me. I am planning to put an extra signal light somewhere midship on ours as well. (We have a 2011 28RKS). Curious about where you tied into your signal light circuit. Did you run from the front of the trailer at the main box, as everything along the frame is enclosed with the belly wrap on ours as I'm sure it is on yours. Also, your wide turn sign......did you pick it up at a truck shop?
Thx
Floyd

We own a 2016 28RKX MAXX. I have 1 more suggestion for a "mod" you may want to do. In our trailer, you can feel a lot to air movement, especially in cold weather, coming from the front cap area into the trailer through the open area below the hang up closets on both side of the bed. We asked about this and was told it's to "ventilate the front cap" ( who knows???). We did however, have mouse droppings in one of these openings and on that corner of our bed spread after a long storage period. Based on that situation, we decided to close these 2"X10" (approx) openings to the degree that small animals cannot enter the trailer. I bought some very light metal cross hatched material with openings too small for the critters to get through, cut it to size, put some black duct tape around the edges, and screwed it into the paneling inside the opening. We have had no critters since the mod and still allow the cap to be vented. If I say so myself, it looks pretty nice too if you peak into the opening.
Have fun with your great trailer, this is our 2nd MAXX as we had a 28RG for a year before we upsized. Nothing about this trailer we don't like and it's essentially been trouble free for the year we've owned it!!

You might look at other "turn lights" than the ones I purchased from Amazon. I just noticed that they are now over double the price I paid for the less than a year ago!

Not a problem. I have solid connections to the truck lighting industry so will look for them at a heavy duty store. Can probably get the wide turn sign there as well.
Appreciate the feedback.
My concern on the wiring was to segregate the stop and turn circuit so the side signal lights don't come on when you do a brake application.
I just converted our stop/Tail lights to 7" round LEDs, as our's were getting pretty sun faded and cracked.

Nice mods. Those black corner covers, are they rubber? Where did you find them?

They are "rubber-like" and I can tell you I have personally tested these a couple of times. ;-)

Yes, mine do come on when I brake but work "normal" in turn signal mode. I just thought it was important for those drivers who are past my trailer tail-lights but not far enough forward to see my truck tail-lights to have some early indication as to my intentions. At least get their attention.....

It's a bit difficult to get a decent picture in the area but I'll see what I can do. One more mod I thought of that's important. Not sure if you have the U-bench dinette or the table and chairs. One of the cross braces let loose on the seat of the U shaped dinette seat. Come to find out, the cross supports are stabled in place and don't have a lot of strength. I reinforced all the supports and it's totally solid now. There's several ways to strengthen to supports, I chose to use construction adhesive and glue 3/8th's plywood strips about 3" wide and 6-8" long to the bottom of the wood framing underneath the junction of the cross member and the main long wood pieces. I did this all around the bench seat in the front and rear of each cross member. Pull your cushions off and your see exactly where the beefing up needs to occur. By the way, I'm 185 lbs so it wasn't over-loaded by any means.

Thanks again. I do have the "U-shaped" dinette. In fact I just received my drawer slides for my next project. I got tired of lifting cushions to get items in the dinette storage so I'm building deep drawers slide out of the ends of the dinette. Since I have 60 lbs on you, I'll make sure to reinforce the framing while I'm at it!!

You can buy long, narrow plastic containers that are about 6" tall, with small wheels on one end that fit perfectly under the 2 sides of the dinette. They are about 3' long, fill up the area, and work really well as the are not that heavy and once you lift the front, they actually roll out. We put a small piece of clear edge guard on the bottom of the door lip that they slide over to stop the plastic drawer from scuffing the wood as it's slides in/out. Inexpensive, light, and sturdy method to make items stored under the dinette easy to reach!
