Wind turbine?

Solar is common, has anyone thought about a wind turbine?

A small turbine can put out close to 600 watts.
That would be 6 solar panels.

.... Or am I way out in left field?

Generally sounds good. I think, however, you can count on Sun more than wind, or enough wind to generate power. Post anything you find on this.

The breeze is better in left field so.....

Seriously though I think the biggest issue would be location. I know for us one of the places we stay at the beach it would work wonders but not atone of th h ed places in the mountains. Interesting thought though for boondockers for sure!

Location would have to be a huge consideration for wind power to be effective.
Here is a nice marine type unit that would be ideal for RV use if parked in the right spot.

I don't have one myself, but I have seen the odd one mounted to a mast mounted to the rear ladder on some rigs while walking though various campgrounds. So there are people that use them.
There's no use crying over spilt milk... unless it's on your keyboard.
