Wine Glass Storage

Well as many of you I am sure have experienced that wine glasses don't travel well. We have packed them in towels and also kept them in the boxes they came with. While in Lancaster PA at a quilt shop and yes I went inside I made a great purchase. It was a Amish hair net. My wife thought I was nuts(again). But I had a plan--"Wine Glass Hammock".

Nice idea. We use plastic wine glasses and don't have to worry about breakage.

We have never had a dish or glass broken while travelling. Despite that, we use all pastic kitchenware, mainly to cut down on weight. You do have a great idea though. We just started making wine and may have to use good wine glasses to get that perfect taste.

Good luck with the wine making. I have considered doing that. I do agree that glass is our preference. But hand me a free beer in a can or plastic cup and I will take it.

We go through a good number of 'red solo cups' (that song really grows on you), but when it comes to wine, no matter how cheap, it always tastes better in a glass wine glass.

Terry,

Welcome to the club!
Got a limited edition Silver medal winner Pinot Noir in the bottle and a very nice Red Zin in the primary fermenter.

Prost! or Cent Anni!

My setup pales in comparison. My first batch just drained from fermenter to carboy. Still fermenting. Wish me luck.
