Don't know, but I had the monitor in my garage and the trailer was outside and I was still getting a reading at around 20'.

Looks like it's working just fine. However, I checked it this am and the freezer alarm was going off even tho' it was reading 2. Found out you have to set the temp you want the alarm to sound. It had been factory set to 0, so I reset it to 10. Amazing what you can discover when and if you actually read the instructions.

my alarm was sounding too (tho I couldn't hear it - too far away and I've lost a bunch of hi freq hearing) - the dogs heard it however and were going crazy - turned the alarms to "off" (my eyes are in better shape than my ears.....).....Bill

Oh NO! You broke the man code by reading the instructions!

Next thing we'll hear is you stopped to ask for directions!!!

Seriously though..Great find. This is added to my list of must buys. Thanks!

Thanks dunnc for posting about these thermometers. I got some and tried them out this past week. Wow. They work great. It does hurt to pay that much for lithium batteries but at least I did not have to read the instructions because I learned what I needed to know from FRF.

I bought the same from Dunnnc recommendation, I put both in my freezer they read 1 degree different. As far as the battery's you could use reg as Duracell but they are only good to -20 my freezer was set to #1 the highest temp and it showed 11 degrees on 1 and 12 on the other well within the specks. I like the part that I could use #2 remote which is the really the top read out. To make my life simpler I put #1 in the freezer and # 2 in the refer. SO when I look at the read out it is top for freezer and bottom for the refer. I like it because when I travel with the propane on I really do not know if it is working. Now I know as I told my wife. Other then that how would you know, so thanks Dunnnc for your input. I great add on and cheap for my peace of mind. cheers to you....

I did the same as for putting #1 in the freezer and #2 in the refrig. I am going to take the monitor and put it in the truck and see if it will still pick up the sensors. Would be great if it did so you could keep track on the road.
