Wobbly Table
This is a copy cat mod. Saw someone do this and after cleaning up spilled coffee a few times, decided I needed to stabilize the dinette table. Ordered the same leg and ends from Forest River. I took samples of the existing screws to the local hardware store and got matching stainless screws. Total time to install was under 30 minutes.

Is the 2 leg setup factory installed?
Was it too wobbly with only 2 legs?
That is the reason for the 3rd leg?

Nice job. Now, just the kids/grandkids will spill stuff.

Yes to all 3, Timex. The 3rd leg made it much better.

You're right. it's not 100% solid, but is a lot better. The DW wanted me to lower it too, but I'll have to think about it before agreeing to cut the legs shorter.

Cutting some off now is easy adding it back on later is gonna be more expensive.

The reason I asked, I just replaced the hinged mechanism on mine with a 2 leg setup. I don't think there will be enough floor space to add a 3rd leg in front. If I put it in back, would reduce leg room.

Personally, I'd put it as far in the back as you can get. Is it too late to move those two legs forward? Only you will know if it is too wobbly for you. Two legs was for me.

I'd have to move the bases back from the underside of the table and then move the bases on the floor back about 6" or so. Haven't been on a trip to try it out yet. Will see then whether I'll need another leg.

good idea but not sure it will work on mine. My table has the same 2 leg setup and is wobbly also, but I do not have a U shaped dinette... I am still trying to come up with some kind of solution. thinking about a cleat on the wall under the window that the top simply rests on when it is in place.

Mine has a wall support with Velcro to hold the table to the cleat.
