My ZX-700 works great and am very happy with it. There are things I wish it did better, but as I use it only as a 12 volt DC surround sound music and TV system it suits my needs. All device switching is handled by the TV.

I chose to replace the concerjunk I had with this. CLARION VX409 6.5" Touch Screen Car DVD/CD/MP3 Player Newegg.com - Clarion 160W Double-Din AM/FM DVD/CD Player with 6.5" Touch Screen (VX409)
It's the bee's-knee's! No complaints yet. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I love my Concertone!

Cannot watch DVDs in HD, but otherwise does everything well.

I've been happy with the unit I replaced a Concertone with.

2 front, 2 rear, wired for sub(don't use). I wouldn't call that "surround" without a center channel.

Thought of one more question. Does it have speaker selector switch for outside speakers separately? Thanks

Technically no, there is note what you would call a zone switch. To get around that problem, I wired the inside speakers to the front(left side speakers on the front left. right side of the camper on the front right) and the 2 outside speakers to the rears. If I want to listen to the stereo or a movie inside, I turn the fader to the front. If I want to blast music to the entire campground, I move the fader to the rear! Works great for my needs and is way cheaper than a comparable model of concertone. I got a great deal off of eBay.

I always appreciate a Judge Mathis fan

Did you make the wood plate to install that Clarion in? Did you try to stain match it? Just wondering how tough it to make that plate not stand out so much.

I'm not thrilled with my ZX690 for lack of HD performance. I understand there's one coming and will probably wait because I don't want to comprimise the otherwise very nice looking entertainment center in our trailer. I've yet to find an aftermarket unit from Jensen or Clarion, or anyone else for that matter with HDMI out... or even component out. What's the output on your Clarion? Is it just your standard composite video out?

I took some scrap wood in the garage, measured/cut it to cover the concertone hole, and took a router to the edges. I still need to stain match, but am in no hurry.
No, it does not have HDMI and it doesn't bother me a bit. The only time we are in the camper watching tv or a movie is if there is bad weather and can't be outside. I still get a great picture quality without the HDMI(IMHO). I don't live in my camper, so no worries.
