Talking All things considered

We can all relate, I am sure, to Cmdr Hadfield.

On edit after the first 7 responses / NOTE: this is from a SATIRE paper.
(sorry Lou if this takes some of your funny away- remove this later if you want. )

Another movie is "Airport " where the Boeing 707 was struck in the mud and was blocking the runway during a snowstorm and an incoming aircraft needed to land.

Old Joe Petroni (sp) played by George Kennedy, gets in the pilots seat and literally blasts the 707 out of the rut by applying full power - that just don't happen - but it looks good on film.

Of course, the movie "Airplane" is just funny and that's all you can say about that one

Interesting item. I haven't seen the movie, but I can understand his frustration over its apparent departure from reality. But, after all, it's just a movie. I think I can relate more to the moviegoers whose enjoyment of the film was compromised by his rude behavior. He chose the wrong setting for voicing - and otherwise sounding off - his opinions.

Thanks for posting this. I got a good chuckle from it.

I laughed out loud when during the movie A-Team, the guys shut off the flight control boost packs when they were "shooting off" the flares!

Still, familiarity with the equipment is no excuse for boorish behavior to the point of being ejected from the theater; no matter who you are.

Removal from the theater is the proper thing. My son is a theater manager & early intervention is critical for this type of behavior. What ever his reasons might be, it sounds like he needed to be anywhere else. Although, maybe he just had a bad day.

I'll be honest, it took me a while before it dawned on me. There was something in it -- I think the "witness"'s comments that made me wonder.

My first clue were the headlines:

and
Local man hoping to be more successful on LinkedIn than Match.com

Though I have to admit, I would have been quicker on the uptake if it had been The Onion!

I'm glad some of the posts realized this article came from a satirical paper. I just couldn't imagine a person that is so well known by so many around the world, would behave like that, period!!

Artistic space license doesn't pull Gravity down, says astronaut Chris Hadfield

I'm more aghast at the realization that Steven Harper lost his virginity. Never would have thought.

Do we believe movies are reality, No reality is tv. Where for some reason Survivors reality show has 12 writers? I enjoyed the movie but it was a little intense not sure it was good for my BP. I have a loud voice so I am always careful in movies not to be a disruptive.
