Ok, I know this was shared with me privately- but dammit, this isn't cool. Janet H PM'd me late last night. I've been stewing since.

I am probably going to have a son who won't speak to me for a few days after the April Fools prank I played on him this morning. His school teacher is in on it too, and she is supposed to be the one to tell him, since he didn't realize it by the time I dropped him off at school.
He got a real official looking letter from his school (that I totally made up) stating he had to go to Spring Break School during his holiday.
Needless to say, he was not a happy camper this morning. 
Here's the gist of it, without the school/logo and names/addresses
April 1, 2015
NOTICE: YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO SPRING BREAK SCHOOL. HE/SHE WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND SCHOOL DURING THE SPRING BREAK PERIOD OF APRIL 6-10.
Because of concerns regarding recent academic performance of your child, we are requiring their attendance at our upcoming “Core Academic Subject Improvement Academy” during the one-week Spring Break.
Study will focus on:
▪Systematic Vocabulary Development
▪Written and Oral English Language Conventions
▪Algebraic Expressions and Equations
Please note that hours will be slightly longer than normal school hours. Please have your child report to school at 7:30 AM each morning. Students will be released at 4:00 PM. Teachers have agreed to assign no more than two hours of homework nightly.
Please have your child report to Room 109 on the first morning of Spring Break School.

I get it honestly. I was 18 and had moved away from home. My Mom called my desk at work (no cell phone then) and was crying while she told me she was having chest pains.

I didn't start it, but I didn't stop it either.
