And in the news today/

The old bridge on Pikes creek was replaced with a much nicer covered bridge.

Dedication will be this weekend so plan on attending.

Where did this happen and when? I would love to see video how they're going to get that thing off there! I'm thinking fire might be a good choice at this point...

I could not believe they put all that weight onto two axles, it would probably been ok if the weight had been spread.

Build a wrap around porch with a long stair way up to it and it might not be too bad.

It's sitting too high at the nose. Need to drop the head on the shank another hole.

Did I see that right? You have to have permits to pull an oversize load like that. They check your route and everything, some state engineer is not working anymore is my guess.

Where would you find a campsite big enough to park that thing anyway?

Actually, what really happened was that bridge has been out for years. Beau and Luke Modular Construction just saw it as too much of a challenge and had to go for it...

Y'all come back now, y'hear?

How do you know it was meant to be placed at a campsite? People move houses from one place to another all the time and maybe that's what they were doing here.

No excuses for what happened here though.
