Beer joke
After the Great Britain Beer Festival, in London, all the Presidents of the brewerys decide to go to the pub for a drink.
The Coors President said "Can I have the only beer made with Rocky Mountain Spring Water: a Coors, please."
The bartender gave him the drink.
Then the Budweiser President orders, "The King Of Beers -- Budweiser."
The bartender proceeds with the order.
The Amstel President walks in and orders "The Finest Beer ever."
The bartender gives him an Amstel.
Then the Guinness President says, "I'll have a coke please."
The bartender is taken aback by this but gives the coke to him anyway.
All the Presidents looked over at him and said, "Why have you ordered a coke?"
He replied, "Well if you all aren't drinking beer, then neither shall I."

There's more truth to this story than most of us might think - Guinness is indeed the standard to which all other beers aspire to,but never quite make it.
I don't drink it all the time, but it is definitely a treat when I do.

And most people don't know, Guinness is the lightest beer you can drink!

An islander on San Marteen talked me in to trying a Guinness Black Lager.
OMG, BLECK, YUK PATOOIE! SPIT!
I'd just as soon drink used motor oil!
Granted; I am *not* a beer drinker, but that stuff was awful!
Gentleman Jack, Disaronno Amaretto, Drambuie, a nice glass of red wine, yep, I'm all in. NO BEER!
And...NO tequila! I've banned myself from that evil stuff! It gets me in trouble every time.

It's all about moderation! As for tequila, if you've ever tried really good tequila, you might change your mind. Most of what you see in local liquor stores is NOT good tequila, including Patron platinum. As for beer, you need someone to guide and take "baby steps". I guarantee I could make you a beer drinker.

2 rules for beer drinkers.
If you can see through it, it's not worth drinking
If it needs fruit in it, it's not worth drinking.

Some of the best beer I ever had was Tetley's Ale, drawn fresh at a pub in the UK. Otherwise Guinness does win as best in US.
Here, I always go with a local brewer, Yuengling. the Black & Tan is pretty good.
Oh yeah, Blue-moon with a slice of orange in it is pretty dang good; had it at TGI Fridays last week. I'm an amateur cook so I can appreciate how a fresh combination of flavors makes a better product.

In a recent trip to my favorite city of Chicago - the wife and I had a late night cocktail at State & Lake, their special for the night was from Small Town Brewery and it was a "Root Beer" Beer that had 19.5% ABV, they served it in a snifter with a scoop of fresh vanilla bean gelato to mimic a true root beer float. It was ah-mazing.

Great American Beer Fest, Denver, CO. 2700 beers on tap and 3 days. Guinness might as well be Bud Light when compared to some real stouts.
