Bring your own utilities

Want to have some fun? Check this out

I always bring my own utilities to campsites which do not have any utilities. If you pull this out of the ground you'll see a spike on the bottom to hold it in place. I hook up the power and water to make it look good.

Great conversation starter and will drive the ranger nuts with people wanting to rent this site knowing they wouldn't have a chance getting the only site at this campground with utilities on Reserve america.

FANTASTIC idea! Will have to fab one and put it in the middle of a rest stop on an interstate.

If I can get DW to go along with it, I may try it on the way to FL this winter. Will really look odd with a 5er still hooked to the truck.

I'll even move it around sometimes. In the photo, I put it where I couldn't have backed the trailer in if it was there. I've had people betting if it was real or not. This past Memorial day weekend with my new 5er, I put it by the road and DIDN'T hook up to it. When someone asked why I said I had enough battery and a large tank. I just knew he wanted to swap sites.

It's fun to sit inside out of sight and watch people walk by and stare and point at it. What you don't see here is I bought a small red LED and mounted it on top of the electrical hooked to 3, aaa batteries. Lasts all summer and leaves no doubt as to whether or not it's real.

As I said, a great conversation starter.

You have to make a plywood base and paint it like concrete and add the sewer connection.

I can see a whole new thread with Dunnnc's version. I can smell the gears churning all the way up here.

Oh, I can fab it with no interference, just may not get to set it up at a rest stop and video it. But, we will see.
