Can you?

Can you have a cool one next to the campfire if you are camping in a Rockwood or flagstaff aframe? I mean an adult beverage? Is that allowed?

Allowed? I thought I read somewhere that it was mandatory!

Seriously though, if you mean is it legal to have alcohol on your campsite and outside of the trailer, most laws consider your campsite to be similar to a motel room (a private place of residence, legally speaking), where alcohol is permitted within the boundaries of the campsite. Some jurisdictions and privately owned campgrounds may have different rules, and alcohol may be banned on specific dates to curb rowdyism. Best bet is to call ahead, or check websites of potential destinations.

Enjoy!

As stated above, yes unless the campground has rules against it. Just remember no campground likes a big drunk loud party but cracking a few and hanging by the fire us typically ok.

Just one? Lots of parks I've ventured into actually have some kind of open container rule and ask it be in a cup of some kind. Not open bottle or can. Most these were state parks.

No.. I wasn't really being serious. But actually I have had state park rangers tell me " off the record ".... they don't really care what I do on my campsite. . But if anyone gets crazy... they can throw them out! I usually keep anything in a coozie, red cup, or some kinda cool drink container.

Rules on alcohol are all over the place. Complete ban in the PA and IN state parks I have been in, time of year bans in MI and ON. However, in the privacy of my own camper they're not going to be able to see it without a search warrant.

And as such, this topic doesn't belong in this a-frame forum. Moving to the joke forum.

Shoot. go to Cajun Palms RV Resort near Lafayette, LA and they'll deliver it to your camper by golf cart. Quiet time is not enforced and you can sit in their pool on a bar stool at the bar and charge it to other peoples account. Yep, Happened to me. Tried checking out last time and had several drinks on my tab (@ S45.00 worth), and I don't even drink. Ha. Kinda funny except it was a fight to get the charges taken off. Anyway, you can certainly have a drink at your site there. Extremely friendly folks all around, cooking, sharing, etc, but definately a party atmosphere.
