I was born in 1946 and I think all these items were before my time....it's really something when my 9 year old grand daughter shows me how to use my Ipad and then my 4 year grandson comes over and shows me a bit more....it's so hard now.....good old three speed shifter on the column.....turn signals were our left hands and arms.....

I remember working at the grocery store-sorting pop bottles for return. We priced everything by hand-no pricing codes. Watching 3 stooges.

I'm sure I'm younger than many on here but I was just watching the movie Tommy Boy and this scene:



It's interesting that this movie came out in 1995 (which is only about a year after I started driving) and they still referred to an oil can. I don't remember ever buying oil in anything except the plastic bottles.

It makes me wonder when they switched.
