I wonder if the Buggy has a 4 pin interface to run the running lights, turn signals and brake lights when Ol Nelly hits the feed bag at Walmart?

Exhaust brake looks a little to close to the cab for me.
Backing down the boat ramp must be fun....

Those Amish and their horses are amazing. They have no problems backing up into parking spaces, out of parking lots, etc. They are better at backing up their buggies than most people are at backing up their cars.

There are tires to blow out due to excessive speed.. What rating do we place on a metal clad wooden wheel?

metal clad
That would make it a steel belted tire so it would need to be an A2 or A3 rated tire.

Horses are incredibly strong so I am not surprised they were able free that stuck truck in the video. I bought my dining room table from from an Amish furniture maker in southern Minnesota. The general image is the Amish do everything by hand so I was a bit surprised to see his shop was very large and filled with powerful industrial woodworking machines. But instead of being powered by electricity it was driven with drive shafts and belts off a diesel engine.Things are not always as they seem!

I was at a industrial trade show many years ago up near Philadelphia and was amazed at the number of Amish guys that were there. They were looking for air powered drills and saws.

I was in one Amish buggy shop in Holmes County Ohio where there was an overhead shaft driven by a water wheel, they had a wide variety of heavy presses and other equipment. What was interesting was the gas mantles over a lot of the machines to provide light so they could see what they were doing. Very innovative people.

They were probably Mennonites. Hard to tell them apart, they even drive cars and have electric at there homes not the true Amish. Amish would have a water wheel running there equipment.... I know for a fact that the amish that work for FR car pool with the mennonites to work, that is permitted.

Nope they were Amish. I am very familiar with both. I asked one of the guys what they were powering the tools with and apparently they had a mechanically driven air compressor. What was driving it I never found out.

What I find interesting is the difference between the various Amish sects, what is allowed in one may not be allowed in another, and it can vary from church district to church district within a sect.
