Love that video. Looks like p tires even and the Ford smokes the Chevrolet...just came back 5500 km on towing in hilly northern Ontario. the Ecoboost never gave up anything pulling up a hill anywhere. Pretty amazing truck.

We bought the 30IKSS V-Lite when we owned the 2011 ecoboost. It pulled it great, but, and I'll quote DH: "the truck didn't have enough azz", so we traded up to the F250, thennnnn we traded the V-Lite for a 5er. Makes sense, right? Since we now have plenty of truck to handle it.
I do miss the ecoboost though, and even with DH saying he LOVES his BAT I know he misses "spoolin' up the twins" now and then. He got a kick out of the roarin' redneck trucks blowin' by, and he'd just kick the twins in and whoooooooosh past 'em.
P.S. I posted that video to tweak OC.

We have pulled our trailer over 8,000 Kms in the past 2 years including 2 trips to the Atlantic coast. The truck has been capable of maintaining speed (or acceleration if desired) on the steepest of all the grades. Gas mileage sucks when those turbos really wind up, but certainly no lack of power hauling just over 8000lbs.

That can be dependent upon axle ratio, tires, and just who is driving....
But all it takes is a few crazy people, a tow strap and two different trucks and you get some idiocy.

I never really understood the tow strap thing. Too many variables. Put them on the quarter track with 2 equally skilled drivers.

Hook them both up to a tractor pulling skid and see what happens.
Tow strap means nothing whatsoever.

True that. I hate brand wars. I like all three. They all have great features.
