Heh. Yes, we are really big. It reminds me of conversation I was having with a German waitress many years ago:
Me: "Well, it's late enough for people to be in the office, so time to call back to Canada."
Waitress: "What time is it in Canada?"
Me: "It's 8 am in my timezone"
Waitress: "You mean there's different timezones in Canada? How many do you have?"
Me: "Well, let's see, Newfoundland, Maritime, Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific. So, 5 1/2."
Waitress: "What? That's really big! All of Europe only has 1!"
Me: "What about the UK? They're an hour off from the mainland"
Waitress: "They don't count, they're not part of Europe"
