Seems that people are voting with their dollars. Ram has made a lot head way against Ford and if Ford 2017 update isn't a hit just maybe Ford could be second in the HD sales in the near future. If Ram would fit in my garage I would of probably be driving one now

Lol. Aren't all Fords HD series...even the Taurus?

Good For You.... But I got you beat - I hauled two pallets of bricks in 1/2 ton..

The local landscaper pulls a flat trailer with 8 pallets of sod that weights between 2,000 and 2,500 lbs per pallet on mid 1990 Chevy 1/2 and hooks it to a step bumper.

How about 2700lbs of cast iron scrap in the back of my old 2001 f150 crew cab 5.5 bed. Tires got a little loose but it held the weight no problem.

2016 ford has a trailer backup option that sounds interesting. I noticed several of the guys with Dodges had traney problems. This is only anecdotal but a observation from talking to Ram owners.

This is a GOOD Thread!

Everyone has there Favourite Truck brand. I have had many problems with BowTie's. I had a 1987 Dodge Dakota that for 100,000 km only ever changed the oil and air filter, great truck, long box, hauled a lot. In my case Ford has been my truck with 5 F150's and now a F250, I have a good dealer, that makes my decision easy. I did go to the local GMC and Chevy dealers told them what I wanted, could not touch the price, trade or features I wanted. I passed on the RAM as no stock to even look at.

Everyone can get a Friday truck after the long weekend or a lemon that just hatched the tranny. I buy new for the warranty and reliability of knowing its history. Just my choice!

We looked at Ford F250 and GMC 2500 hd and bought the GMC. My wife was in shotgun and after the test drive in the Ford told me to sit in the passenger side after getting in the first thing I asked "where do you put your feet" . the center hump extended in to the footwell so much I could not put both feet (with shoes on) flat next to each other. We are bothe tall and I do have size 16 shoes, but 3 times the foot room in the GMC. Both are good trucks but if the wife is not comfortable I won't be eather the GMC has 22,000 miles in about 14 months and is great.

Yep! And try finding any model but entry level now with a 40-20-40 front seat instead of the buckets. Really aggravating! We have a needy child that has to ride up front....

I work at a shop and have seen 3 honda vans need heads just over 100k. It is well noted that a lot of powerstoke engines have had to be replace prematurely. I have talked to couple of guys that it has happend to. 1 only had 60k on the engine, but I have also seen guys with 150k on the 6.7 powerstrokes with no problems. I have a 06 ram 3500 cummins with 160k on it and it has been flawless. With that being said i wouldn't hesitate to own any of the big 3 trucks as I take very good care of my vehicles and feel any would be reliable for me.
Not to steal the thread, but: I had 3 Dodge (Chrysler) mini-vans. All 3 needed new tranny's at 30K. THEN they went to 120K. What's up with that? Fourth mini-van was a Honda. Tired of replacing trannys.

Hi Rockfordroo.

We had many Chrysler minivans used a TV station Vehicles. The same thing happened and barely kept them running. The biggest problem was ballast resistors with all Chrysler products. Used to carry a spare in the glovebox.

The overall quality has improved on many Trucks. Some reported issues but I bought extended warranty to cover me.

I read that the Dreamliner's wings are designed to flex 12 FEET at the tips.
