Ford is Number 1

I had no doubt but these guys just proved it again. Not a lab test just some guys towing. The ford even had more weight.

Ford gets less mpg than the Ram. 9 sec is nothing. I'd rather sit in a nicer truck for 9 sec longer. Plus the Ram still uses the proven CP.3 HPFP. No grenadine issues like VW, GM and Ford which use the CP.4

I am on my 6th Ford Pickup since 1980, had 3 Ford work trucks and one Chevy they bought back due to explosive engine issues! Had 3 Econolines as well and one other GMC Safari that was worse than a Chrysler Minivan for reliability, thats saying a lot!

I just learned of those issues with the CP 4.2. Fuel pumps fail, this one just takes rest of the fuel system with it. They've improved it, but not eliminated the risk. Many owners of cp 4.2 trucks swear by additives to add lubricity.

Canadian owners don't see as high a failure rate as their diesel isn't as dry and more uniform than US offering.

I've never heard anyone claim a Ram is nicer than a Ford. My understanding is that most people buy a Dodge for the Cummins and just accept the fact that it'll be in a Dodge!!!!!

I guess you didn't watch the video all the way thru. The driver of the Ram said it was the nicest inside of all 3 by a long shot. It's all subjective of course.

There is no comparing the interior of the RAM compared to the Ford. RAM is much nicer and the infotainment system works.

It is all subjective. And I have heard that Ram has some nice interiors on the super expensive trim packages. But my budget is more suited for the XLT/XL trim level- and in this area the Dodge is very poor IMHO. The seats in particular on the ones I recently test drove are flat and thin- very uncomfortable.

The Fast Lane Truck videos are fun to watch but they are usually just a race to the top with a heavy trailer in tow. The Ford 6.7 is going to win because it puts out the most HP. My Ram with the Cummins I6 may rev a little slower but nobody else can even come close to matching the proven durability. Cummins High Mileage

I'm always amused by these brand-loyalty threads... Mine's better because I bought it and I'm never wrong! I have had several Fords, and all were really great trucks... no doubt about it. However, when I comparison shopped, Ram came with everything I needed, and everything the Ford had to offer, for about $6K less money. So far, my Ram's been as good as my Fords were, and gets better mileage. What's not to like? All that being said, GM screwed me twice on one warranty issue, and I swore off of them. I have no real brand loyalty... but I do have one brand I'll always be disloyal to... Screw me once... shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me.

I could've considered a Dodge truck but now "Ram"? And "Ram Bighorn?" That is just so transparently and adolescently macho. Silly minded.
