Ohio is the only U.S. state whose state flag is not a rectangle. Oregon is the only U.S. state whose flag has completely different designs on the front and back.

Did you know Alaska is the most northern, western, and eastern state in the union with Hawaii the most southern?

If you put a hinge on the western border of the state of Texas and opened it like a door, it would extend into the Pacific Ocean. If you hinged Texas on its eastern border, it would extend into the Atlantic Ocean.

Ohio petitioned for statehood in 1803, but Congress forgot to pass legislation ratifying its constitution. I too, thought this was false but did learn something. Thanks JohnF, as I have been having too much fun this morning with this new education alongside this map I printed out and am showing customers/employees. No one else so far knew this either.
