Sooo. Here is how today went.
Gave the wife a night too herself. Took the kids camping. 5,3,3.
Summery of events. Arrive at koa. Get checked In. Host takes us to site. I set up which took several iterations while play 10 trillion questions with the kids. Finally. Minutes away from departing for the pool. Get knock. It’s the host. He put us in the wrong site. We’re only here for a night. Doesn’t matter the next site occupants are long term. Host ask if he can help. Yeah. Run interference with the kids. Kids go with host for golf cart ride around the campground. I strike camp. Hookup. Move to the proper site. Set camp again. Kids show up we go to the pool. 5 min after getting into the pool the pool is closed. Someone pooped in the pool. Get back to camp. Start dinner. Oldest whined endlessly that we are not having hot dogs. Dinner is ready. He eats three servings. After dinner it’s two s’mores each. Shower time. Kids take showers outside which is pretty cool. Going into the camper they are poking along. I finally get into the camper. Close the door. Did realize one of the twins hand was still in the door. Screams and lots of apologize. I check his hand. Nothing broken. Lots of hugs and kisses. Twins getting dressed. Oldest doesn’t have PJs. Looses his ever loving mind. 20 min of hostage negotiating he’s in is underwear he wore today and one of my t shirts. It’s hilarious. Story time. We forgot stories. I read them three recipes from the Dutch oven cook book. Using a mountain man voice. They thought it was hilarious. Kids in bed. 45 min later toys picked up. Dishes done. And I appreciate having an ice maker way more than I thought I would.

I’ve done those forgotten PJ negotiations before. My granddaughter wasn’t nearly as agreeable as the boy.

Although it's funny it is also a GREAT memories that will make him smile for years!!!!!!
