Why???

I use them!

Makes the stuff flow better!

Oh wait...I'll bet you are one of those that leave the gray tank open all the time.

I agree, early in my RV life I fail for the sales pitch and bought them, used them maybe twice. Would like to have all the money spent on those that have been trashed after first use.

There is a way to use them right...and a way to not use them...

Just something else to clean and store.

My sewer hose and adapter fit in rear bumper which is as close to inside the RV as I am comfortable with.

50+ years of camping and never a single issue without them.

You see a lot of interesting setups at Ocean Lakes. That is where this is correct.

I see no issues with two chocks on the same side when the site slopes somewhat downward that way, and some campgrounds do require that the hose not sit directly on the ground.

To each their own, but on 2 occasions in the last year, the sewer drain was elevated above the CG pad and the bridge came in handy.

My old cheapie brown and yellow sewer hoses fit in my rear bumper, but the newer better ones I have now the end fittings are too big to fit in the rear bumper so I have a large plastic tote with locking lid I store that stuff in.

I've been on the road for the last six months in my 5'ver and I've been finding more and more RV parks with raised sewer connections, which is where these sewer supports come in handy.

And even when they are flush with the ground water and sludge flow downhill much better than on a flat surface.

Don't have a better shot, but you can kinda see it in action in this pic.

The ground sewer connection was a good six inches above the ground, plus, being below zero for most of the time I was there I didn't want that sewer hose to freeze to the ground, which did happen to my neighbor and he cracked it when he got ready to roll (his 5'ver was brand spankin' new and this was their maiden voyage ever in a camper).

Chief T...

I spent a week in April at the Route 66 RV Park and Casino...

Nice place, even though there is no shade!

Two years ago on my trip to IL I stayed overnight at a campground that required you to use supports. I don't know if it was to save the grass or to be able to see if your hose was leaking.

Response to Oaklevel..

Yes, this is at Ocean Lakes. We love it and spend almost 1 week/month there from April through October. Last week with 3 grandkids.

They've added a 4" (?) fitting to the sewer connection to raise the overall height. With that extra height, my sewer line almost runs uphill. I had them set up our trailer last time and the guy unscrewed the added fitting. Worked great.
