Unless you can find a covered wagon with a GVWR sticker you won't know if you're overloaded. You could be a menace to all other covered wagons on the road. When loading it, you'd be forced to depend on common sense and modify your driving habits to match the load and conditions, and we just couldn't have that.

You could upgrade your cover wagon with bigger springs, air bags, rancho shocks and bigger whip to beat the hourse with and you can ignore the GVWR stickers and haul what ever you want.

I think you would be just fine with the Locomotive as by it self brakes are good and adding trailer brake better yet. Later RJD

Wife and I camped for years and years in a tent. Then we got big time and moved up to an Aframe camper and loved it. Now we decided to get a 5th wheel and this is where the problems came in.

First, this is the 5th wheel we wanted: Gross weight 60,000#, Hitch weight 8,000#
If that 5'ver really weighs 60,000#, NOTHING is going to pull it!!

and 4 TONS hitch weight???

Just look at all that torque that is produced and it's not even a diesel or gas burner.
