That's an old video but still fun to watch. It's almost as funny as taking a lawn chair and sitting at a boat ramp on a weekend, especially a holiday WE when there's more inexperienced boaters out there. Wait a minute, I'm trying to be a kinder, gentler person. I shouldn't be thinking like this.

I was the entertainment this past weekend. Site wasn't big enough, so we sat and waited 30 min for a ranger. Then had to back up 3 sites to the new site. Backed it in but took a couple shots due to a drain pipe. Get unhooked and setting.g up. Oops the ranger made a mistake, that site was booked. Hooked up and moved down one site. Well now I was out of alignment so I was dealing with drain pipes,deep mud and a tree stump. Took a couple of attempts again. I felt like goldilocks... this one is too little, this one us too occupied, this one is just right.

On other occasions I have had the pleasure of drawing a large crowd while I zip it in on one shot. That's was fun. I got around a car and golf cart in my left and a retaining wall on my right. When I was done I got a lot of compliments on how good my backing skills were... keep in mind these were men watching a woman get er done.

Last campground we were temporarily blocked from our site and had to sit and watch a guy try to back his 5er into a site, blind side. First attempt he backed into the gazebo that was a good 8' off the side of his pad, then he somehow got the right tires behind a parking curb, backed up, and accelerated his F-350 to bounce that big ole trailer over the curb. Pretty painful. I was trying to give him some slack ("Well, it's not a new trailer, but maybe new to him?"), but talking to him later I found out they are full-timers, and stopping over in transit to their campground host job. Caught him on a bad day, I guess. Seems to me it would have helped if his wife would have gotten out and spotted, but maybe that's not good for their marriage...

One of the reasons I'm showing up for BamaGanza early is so none of y'all can watch my hilarious backing up skills. I sure miss the gooseneck...it was really simple. Don't know if I'll ever figure out this bumper pull thing.

I saw this a few months ago. I'm not the super guru of backing...I'm not bad, but I know there's better, but I'd have been hard pressed not to ask that guy if he wanted me to do it for him. That was painful.

That's pretty funny. Boat ramps are the best though.
I've had a few challenging spots. My 4X4 F250 crew cab has about a quarter mile turning radius...

On a side note....that's how I imagined myself backing in the first time. It wasn't that bad, but it felt like it.

That's funny I'm the exact opposite. I was queen of backing the tt. Fiver skills are still coming along.

The first time we went camping with my late BIL, we drove to the campground and our individual sites. I backed in, leveled, put down the stabilizers, put the slide out, hooked up water, electric, and got the fridge and AC up and running. As I pulled my truck out, I looked down the road and he is still sitting in the road in front of his campsite. I walk down to and ask him what is the matter. He says I am waiting for you to back my trailer in! "I'll tow it but I won't back it in!" This guy owned a snowplowing business, delivered truck loads of gravel and topsoil, and had heavy equipment but would not back his TT in to a space. RIP Milt, you were a hoot!

Exactly. I remember my trailer. Got the last Aha the day I traded it in. Takes mucho patience and practice.

I've been doing it more years than I want to admit and I still have trouble especially on the blind side.

Like I told someone I have Backed a trailer further than he had towed one, being a trucker for 25 years. I can back up.

We seem to either get the backing done easy in one shot, or we get to make a couple of stabs at it. Just depends on the day. But we always get it in there.

We frequently set up group spots for our gang, getting there early. Then we get to watch everyone else park, which can be quite entertaining

Glad no one was around with a video camera on our first time out with our pop-up. I think between the DH and I it took a total of an hour including a different site. I managed to break off a sampling a break a tail light cover. I did the damage while DH went to find someone to back it in for us. OK I spent a lot of time crying while trying to backup while he was gone. Wanted to give up on the whole idea of camping in anything other than a tent the first four hours of that trip Glad we both improved over time.
Hope no one is around with a camera the first trip out with the new TT. Oh wait the fun will be backing into the turn around for our own driveway
