Kids today
Kids today don't know how easy they have it.

When I was young I had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change TV channels.

We didn't have dvr either! Oh and we actually had to look out the car Windows and find things like license plate games or car bingo to occupy our time on long car trips. I tell my DD this all the time. She is amazed by the idea of no remote. She just can't fathom it.

Not too mention we had to get up and adjust the ears depending on which of the four channels we wanted to watch.

When from 3 to 4 in 1971 when PBS was added to ABC, CBS, NBC.

And remember the family only had 1 TV and we watched what dad wanted to watch but it was all family friendly from gilligan's Island to CHiPs, Dukes of Hazzard and football. TV time was family time and the youngest (me) was the remote control.

Ok, I'm gonna show my age, what is this? And yes I remember only having a couple channels, TV antennas on top of the house and seeing the national anthem late at night.

Sadly when i started in Television in the 70's we still used a B and W Test Pattern for transmitter work and signal tests.
